Organic Chamomile - Matricaria recutita- German Chamomile is the most commonly used and more potent of the two types. “Roman chamomile is rich in active ingredients and does not exhibit chamomile-related allergenic potential.” (2) Chamomile has been shown to have mild sedative properties, which can help reduce anxiety and promote relaxation. Chamomile's anti-inflammatory effects have also been beneficial for certain skin conditions, like eczema, when used topically. Traditionally been used to soothe gastrointestinal conditions such as indigestion, gas, and bloating. Its antispasmodic effects help relax muscles in the intestines, which can reduce cramping and discomfort. Chamomile can be taken in the form of a tincture or tea internally or externally as a wash or sitz bath.
